The 5DT Stand-Off Weapon Training Simulator and Visualizer teaches the trainee all the critical aspects of stand-off weapon application. The system may be configured to accommodate different types of stand-off weapons, e.g. gliding missiles, boost and glide missiles, as well as cruise missiles. It may also be configured to help the trainee to plan stand-off weapon missions (mission of aircraft and missile) and to then execute the missions. The missile is taken to the launch area, launched, and then followed (or guided) to the target. In cases where the missile needs to be guided to the target, the trainee may control the missile with controls that closely resemble those of the real system.

This system may also be combined with 5DT's Flight Visualization System. This system will allow the trainee to plan missions and then rehearse the missions (replan if necessary). If the flight data of real missions is recorded, the real missions may also be debriefed.
