Several simulator configurations are offered, ranging from a single computer screen with a commercial (games-type) steering wheel to a top-of-the-range system with a 360° field of view (FOV) and a full vehicle Cab on a 6 degree of freedom (6-DOF) Motion Base.
The simulator software features a photorealistic generic landscape with realistic computer graphics models of cars and objects, realistic 3-D sounds, force feedback and a very realistic dynamic vehicle model (acceleration-based). The system is managed from an instructor station utilizing easy-to-use program modules. The software may be configured for a variety of driving conditions. The training scenarios subject the trainee to scenarios ranging from very elementary to very complex and challenging.
