High Voltage Line Inspection Training System [CBT]

Product Description

This system contains a big database (visual and information) of typical problems and defective parts that a High Voltage line patrolman may encounter. The system features a Study Mode and an Evaluation Mode.In the Study Mode the trainee systematically works through the database of images (with related text information). In the Evaluation Mode the system presents the trainee with a grouping of randomly selected images/questions that must be identified/answered and categorized. A database of trainee proficiency is maintained. This program may also be utilized as a Computer Based Training (CBT) companion package for the Virtual Reality Line Inspection Training Simulator.

Learn Mode: Tower Identification		 The trainee systematically works through the cataloged 'Servitude errors'. The topic/category is shown in the top-left corner. The cataloged fault / tower-type is shown at the middle-left. An image of the fault / tower-type is shown at the right, with a caption below it. A text description of the fault / tower-type is shown at the bottom-left. This specific image shows a 'Tree: Too close to the conductor', under the transmission line in the servitude. The text description also describes the mechanism that explains why a tall tree under the transmission line could cause a transmission line fault.
Learn Mode: Servitudes		 The trainee systematically works through the cataloged 'Conductor errors'. The topic/category is shown in the top-left corner. A text description of the fault / tower-type is shown at the bottom-left. This specific image shows a 'Conductor: Damaged' error.
Learn Mode: Conductors		 The trainee is presented with an image of a transmission line error. The trainee must categorize the error ('Towers, Servitudes, Insulators, Hardware, Earthwires, Conductor Arrangement'), and then select the exact error. Audio feedback is supplied once a selection has been made, and the trainee's score is immediately updated. This example shows an error: '131 D-shackle: Bolt/splitpin missing', under the error-category of 'Hardware'.
Test Mode (1)		 The trainee is presented with an image of a transmission line error. The trainee must categorize the error ('Towers, Servitudes, Insulators, Hardware, Earthwires, Conductor Arrangement'), and then select the exact error. Audio feedback is supplied once a selection has been made, and the trainee's score is immediately updated. This example shows an error: '47 Steel: Bent/rusted', under the error-category of 'Towers'.
