Virtual Rocket Launcher
This image shows a mock-up launch tube being used for the Virtual Rocket Launcher. The launch tube is fitted with instrumentation to track the orientation of the tube. The mock-up tube may be substituted with a real launch tube, from a specific manufacturer. The real launch tube is instrumented so that it can be used as a Virtual Rocket Launcher.

The trainee views the Virtual Battlefield with a Head Mounted Display (HMD). The trainee may look around, as in real life, to explore his/her surroundings. When looking through the 'sight' of the virtual rocket launcher, the HMD image is magnified to the same magnification of the optics of the rocket launcher's sight.
