The Palm Device A palm device is used to log defects and comments during a high voltage transmission line inspection. Information is entered by means of a stylus on the touch screen of the palm device. The user may check inspection boxes and pictograms, 'type' with a miniature virtual keyboard, or write with normal characters (the palm device features powerful character recognition algorithms).
